Legal Question in Business Law in Virginia

Corporation

Hi,

We are going to move our software consulting company from Colorado to Virginia. We need to know the process of transfer. Do we have to again register in Virgina,

or can we continue as foreign corporation with change of address.

Two years ago we had an employee working here and we paid the state taxes. At present there are none and we want to shift the principal place of business.

Thanks,

Y.B

Re: Corporation

You can register as a foreign corporation in Virginia and have approval to transact business in Virginia. If you would like assistance with this process, which requires an application, supporting documents, and the appointment of a registered agent in Virginia, please contact me.

Re: Corporation

Many of the corporations doing business in Virginia (some of them doing buisiness only in Virginia) were incorporated elsewhere.

There is a provision in Virginia for foreign corporations to register to do business in Virginia. It is simple and relatively inexpensive (the annual fee is determined by the number of authorized shares).
