Have you actually been sued, meaning you received a summons? If so, you usually only have 20 days to answer so you need to find a civil litigator to take the case. I suggest someone close to the court where the case was filed. They will likely know the court, judges, personnel, etc.
If you have not yet been sued but are only being threatened, feel free to call me for a free phone consult and I would be happy to offer some insights on the matter.
Best,
