Legal Question in Business Law in Virginia
Am I held liable because I initialed the contract even though I never signed the bottem line authorizing the charge and agreeing to the rules?
I recently started a membership with Massage Envy and I initialed next to the 3 paragraphs that talk about the membership will auto renew and that I will pay on a month by month basis. I entered my credit card information in on the form, however I never singed the bottom line stating that I understand the rules and regulations and stating that I authorize them to charge my account. They have been charging me for 3 months.

Hard to say without actually reviewing this contract but there's nothing
to now prevent you from asking for a refund of what's already been
paid to this company, termination of any further deductions, and, placing
the matter in contest with your credit card issuer, if necessary.
