Legal Question in Business Law in Virginia
My husband became an authorized dealer in Virginia for a chain saw manufacturer in 1972. At that time there was no policy requiring a certain dollar sales quota be met in order to remain an authorized dealer. This policy was activated about 5 years ago. Can I be exempt from this policy under the grandfather clause?

No (in my opinion) unless you were somehow covered in the contract which made your
husband an authorized dealer.
