Legal Question in Business Law in Virginia
I was seeing a lawyer for a divorce. I gave her the date in which my wife and I seperated but my wife did not agree on that date. After talking to my wife we agreed on a new date and I asked my lawyer if she would change the dates. She said that she could no longer help me because I 'lied" however she never heard the whole story as to why I wanted/needed to change the date. I went to see her the first time 3 months ago and she has only had the papers sent out and I have already paid her $300.00 that she isnt going to refund me. I am struggling and could bairly come up with the money to give her much less get more money to get another lawyer. I feel as though my lawyer took advantage of me. Is there anything I can do to get the $300 so that I can get my divorce?
