Legal Question in Business Law in Virginia
Is it legal in the state of VA for a business owner to deny goods or services based solely upon rumors of past owners/employees, taking into consideration that said rumors are slanderous not only to the individual being denied service but also a decorated police officer of the local community?
This business owner is not the owner of the property, just the business.

As long as this denial is not provably based upon race, religion, ethnicity, sex, age, pregnancy, etc., it's probably quite legal, although more information might possibly be required for a more definitive determination.
