Legal Question in Business Law in Virginia
Letter
My son is 18 and he filed a complaint against the fast food restaurant he worked for and they told him he needed to resign for be fired and prosecuted for stealing.they made him sign a peice of paper stating that he would give his last pay check back to the store for restitution.he was promoted to a manager two months ago and was still being paid as a crew member. He sent a letter to the labor board here in VA. and I think they tricked him into signing something illegal because they told him he would go to prison for stealing money. my son would not have stolen anything from them. Please advise us on what to do next 7574051800 ext 8193

Re: Letter
Your son should arrange to consult with a local attorney who is knowledgeable and experienced with employment as well as defamation and criminal law in the Commonwealth, and who should be able to advise him regarding this particular situation, accordingly.
