Can I use the same name for LLC and Corporation
I have a business that is an LLC. I want to start a corporation with a different business purpose, but with the same name as my LLC. can I do this?

No, the name of all LLC's and corporations must be distinguishable from that of any other LLC or corporation in Virginia. You can probably add a word or two to make it distinguishable. You can call the Clerk's Office at the State Corporation Commission to determine if the name you want is provisionally available.
