Legal Question in Business Law in Virginia
hello.. i have a llc license for a martialarts buissnes my question is? is it possible to have more than just me as the owner of the buissnes and can i split the buissnes into shares so that i can protect my assets. to be more clear i want my daughter to own 51%of the buissnes so that should anything happen to me she has the controlling share if so where and how do i go about doing that.. thank you steve

If you incorporate the business it can be owned in whatever shares you choose, such as your daughter owning 51% and you the remaining 49%.
It would be a good idea for you to consult an attorney in your area to assit you in this.
