Legal Question in Business Law in Virginia
I was recently fired from my job I worked independently at different locations servicing machines, after a little bit of run around I was told that I was fired due to my time sheets being wrong.
I recently found out that my old supervisor was telling people in the locations I worked in that I was fired for stealing money.
Is this a case of slander or am I out of luck.

Yes, it could be slander, but whether it would be worth pursuing is a separate consideration which may not necessarily be in the affirmative.
