Legal Question in Business Law in Virginia
reproduction of a product
I bought a wood item from another country that was created by a designer and would like to know if I handmade this item not to exact specs and changed a couple of things on it, am I allowed to recreate a similar item to sell? I'm thinking flea market or ebay type of selling, small stuff. I would not be using anything as far as their name. Could they sue me if I used their concept of a design. Thank You

As doing so may involve a violation of intellectual property rights, I would suggest that you individually consult an attorney to determine whether selling your specific product is permissible.
