The Sale of unpaid items

My Huspand owns his own computer repair business. If he receieves equipment for repair and sets a time frame of 60 days payment, on day 61 can he sale the item to recoup the moneys lost? If so how should this be worded in the contract? If not then what are other means to recoup his loss.

Yes, your husband should legally be able to sell the item on day 61 for which the repair service remains unpaid, if that's what the contract provides for which the repair customer signed and agreed to, but an attorney in this particular or other online foruns is unlikely to be willing to recommed particular language for such a contract online for a variety of reasons.

Nevertheless, if your husband would like to use such a contract in his computer repair business, he would be well-advised(in my opinion)to engage the services of a local attorney to draft one for him

after this lawyer has had an opportunity to review

the relevant facts as well as any federal, state, and/or local laws that could possibly be involved or implicated in the use of such a contract in your husband's business.
