Legal Question in Business Law in Virginia
Small claims $ limit
I was bought out of a business in Feb 2008. The business was continued by my former partner and 2 new owners. There was a copier machine, dell computer and visa company credit card that was suppose to have been transferred out of my name. To date none of this has occurred. I need to know how best to proceed. I am concerned about my credit and the invoices for the items mentioned are not being paid.

Re: Small claims $ limit
Well, why not start with your former partner in regard to these issues? What has he done so far to
lift these liabilities from your shoulders, so to speak, and, if nothing, what's his explanation for the sluggishness and how does he intend to roust himself from his inertia(or whatever the holdup may be) and get these issues taken care of?
Until you have answers to the foregoing questions,
you cannot formulate a reasonable plan of action.
