Legal Question in Business Law in Virginia

In one small shopping center, but there are two stores do the same business, that makes the business go down very badly. The landlord has responsibility for this? THANKS

Normally, the landlord has no responsibility to stop two stores doing the same business UNLESS there is an agreement for this in the lease.

However, USUALLY there IS such an agreement in the lease for a shopping center.,

You need to see what the lease says. ONLY if the lease controls this situation can this be stopped.

You might want to have a lawyer read the lease if it is not clear to you.
