Legal Question in Business Law in Virginia
In what state must I form my LLC?
When completing the order form for creation of an LLC it asks for the state. I am a residence of the state of Virginia. Do I have to form my LLC under the state of Virginia or can I choose another state for the LLC to be created in? For example, Nevada or Delaware? I will be operating this business from my office in Virginia but the business could take place in multiple sates and/or over the internet.

Re: In what state must I form my LLC?
In that you are in VA and the business will be based here it would likely be the best state to incorporate (although not mandatory). It is usually simpler and cheaper to do so. You should be advised that regardless of the state that you select, you must be authorized to transact business as a foreign corporation in all the other states that your company conducts business.
