Legal Question in Business Law in Virginia

I have a wholesale seafood business in Va. one of our customers owes us a lot of money. We have been working with him to pay off the bill. Now he claims he never ordered this much and is basically accusing us of be in league with his chef to cheat the restaurant. I have bill and bills of lading proving that I bought this particular fish (haddock) and some large lobsters, we bought this product especially for them and the invoices we sent to the restaurant with the product were all signed for by the chef and a few by the asst. chef. Where do I stand at this point, I will be meeting with the owners on Tuesday 5/17. Thanking you in advance for your help.

Be prepared to sue what appears to be a weaselly SOB either in

general district or circuit court, depending upon the amount of your claim(s).

As a Franchise Attorney I think you have a good case, especially if the owner has been making payments. If now is the first time he's making this claim, he's not on good ground. It also appears your deliveries were accepted and signed for. In addition, the food was prepared and sold to his customers. Long story short - he owes you the money. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
