Legal Question in Business Law in Virginia
I work for a company in which the owner has yet to pay for a service provided by a subcontractor to that contractor. I helped negotiate the contract but I did not sign off on the actual contract itself. It was the owner. Can I be named in a civil suit concerning this matter or is it simply between the owner and the subcontractor?

Sure, you could be named, but if it occurred, you would most likely be quickly dropped from the lawsuit once you (or your attorney) made the request to the court on the grounds that you were not a proper party.
