Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Virginia

Apartment complex infringes on tenants rights.

In 2007, a local news station wanted to interview customers of a online hand bag rental store. The news crew arrived at my home and just when the interview had begin, the maintenance man of my complex, wearing a wife beater t-shirt and pants, told me I could not have them in my apartment, I ask him why, he just repeated what he first stated. I went back to finish the interview and two more time they knock and kept calling. Can I sue them for infringing on my civil rights? There is nothing in the least that states, who I can and whom I can't have over my own home when I paying rent. I have the video, and you can hear them knocking and my phone ringing.

Sure, you could sue for this situation, but what would be your provable and credible damages?
