Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Virginia
Bed Bugs
I have moved into a new apartment July the 31st. I have been bitten by bedbugs a numerous amount of times and breakout in hives . I have taken pics and have been to the doctor about 10 times. I have had the rental office come out and spray, i had to throw away my bed, bag all my clothes, wash all my clothes, steam clean, my carpet, and now having allergic reactions almost every night. What can i do for this very big inconvience?

Re: Bed Bugs
I doubt that what you've described would be sufficient under the law to allow you to break your lease with impunity. In other words, it is unlikely to be found(in my opinion) to amount to what the law considers a constructive eviction which would allow you to move out immediately without being responsible for the balance owed under the lease.
