Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Virginia
My car was unjustly towed twice by the same tow company from the same lot one year apart. The FIRST tow was done at 9:30pm but sign said no parking after 10:00pm. Even though the times were clearly on the sign AND receipt, they would not release the car to me until I paid the $100 fee. (that was re-embursed after numerous complaints). The SECOND was towed on a Saturday when parking IS allowed. They let me drive the car off the tow lot without a fee. But only after I (luckly) got the owner of the parking lot to call the tow company. That was two hours later. I felt like I had NO RIGHTS even though (in my opinion) they stole my car. Is this legal? I'm still ticked off by the way they treated me.

So, what are your real and compensable damages resulting
from this incident, and, no, I'm not referring to mental stress nor
frustration?
