Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Virginia

cheerleading discrimination

my daughter was on the squad and was singled out several times by the coach for cutting her hair a different way and for coloring her hair. the coach was granted permission to choose her own squad the following year and told me herself she was glad then she could have who she wanted on the squad. my daughter had a verbal altercation with the coaches niece outside of school and the niece told a large group of people that she would make sure the coach knew so my daughter wouldnt be picked at tryouts the following year. well, she wasnt. the coach, 2 of her best friends and the assistant coach were judges. i went to administration and voiced my concerns and asked that tryouts be held over due to bias on the part of the judges and was firmly denied. there is way more to the story, just no time to go into it. do i have any legal recourse at all in this situation? i have other parents who seen how obvious the unfair treatment was to my daughter. thanks for your time

Re: cheerleading discrimination

No, I do not see the law nor litigation as a remedy for the school problem involving your daughter as you've described it.
