Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Virginia
civil rights violated
lastnight my g/f was pulled over driving my vehicle. she was informed thather license was suspended she immediatley called me to come tow my car because it would be imounded. i have a repo truck 24 hours a day and wa there before the officer was done issuing the citation i hooked to my car and was about to leave when the towing company that the state police called showed up. the trooper then yelled at me and ordered me to on hook MY car or i was going to jail. the whole time im unhooking my car he continues yelling at he that he should have me locked up and that HIS wrecker was going to be the one to tow the vehicle. i bit my tounge and left the scene and called the police barracks to speak with a sgt. the sgt returned my call this morning after investigating the incident admited the troper was in the wrong and i had basis for a formal complaint. i cannot afford to get my car out of impound and after notifying my finance company about this the will be repossessing it which to protect their interest i dont really need the car and have been trying to sell it but once t gets auctioned there will be a much larger difernce then if i had sold it private party. but no i have no choice. what can i do

Re: civil rights violated
Borrow the money and get the vehicle released from its impoundment before the finance company repossesses it. (It can't be much more than $100.)
Your notification to the finance company makes little sense.
File a formal complaint with the state police requesting appropriate reimbursement.
