Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Virginia
Consent Order
I received a consent order advising me that since I used the logon ''CPA'' on my stationary, email, pens and business cards that I was in volation of 54.1-111 and 54.1-4414 of the code of VA and I was fined a monetary fee of $8,000. Which I do not have. Is there anyway I can make payments to the state for this?

Re: Consent Order
Did you consent to it? I am not sure why you would consent to this. You should consult an attorney about whether you have any defenses to this or whether it can be negotiated down to a reasonable amount. Hopefully you have not already admitted "guilt," etc.
Re: Consent Order
You should see an attorney immediately to determine what facts that you may have in your defense to this alleged civil violation of the law of the Commonwealth, and, furthermore, you should refrain from consenting or admitting to anything in connection with these matters until you've had that opportunity to seek the advice of counsel.
