I registered a poem. Will that protect my material or will have to copyright?

Registered where? Under current federal law, copyright protection is normally conferred or "fixed" on an orignal work at the time it is created and no special papers need be filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in Alexandria, Virginia, in order to establish such copyright protection.
