Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Virginia

Discrimination in pricing - Restaurants

Is it against the law in Virginia to charge dinner patrons different amounts based on their gender or color? If not, how do I find the law and make sure it is applied to these businesses that do discriminate in their business?

Re: Discrimination in pricing - Restaurants

Not only in Virginia would such charges be illegal, but also in any other U.S. jurisdiction based, for starters, upon the 14th Amendment Equal Protection Clause of the U.S. Constitution as well as, undoubtedly, a host of other state and local laws which in varying degrees would predictably proscribe such patently uneqal and discriminatory treatment of those who happened to patronize such dining establishments and who were victimized by such discriminatory surcharges.
