Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Virginia

We have a disgruntled employee, who stated that she has been recording conversations in the office without anyone's knowledge. Then stated that if she was to be fired, then she would take it to an attorny and use all information against the employees.

Probably, reason enough to send this disgruntled one packing without further adieu (unless, of course, she may be somehow protected from summary dismissal by a valid contract of employment).
