Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Virginia
flu vaccine
I am a contractor at a military hospital and they are requiring that we get the flu vaccine. I usually avoid this by filling out a religious exemption form, have it notarized and have been doing this for years with no problem. Well this year, they're requiring employees with religious exemptions to get our minister to write a statement telling WHY it's against our religion to receive the vaccine and if they don't receive this, they are threatening to remove people from the schedule. I feel like my rights are somehow being violated and I need to know if I have some recourse?

Re: flu vaccine
If "they" are either the government or your private
employer bosses who have contracted with the government(and are responding to government pressure for the vaccine), the answer is probably no, you do not.
