Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Virginia
Saw a friend pulled over by police getting what looked to be a DUI. Knew the police officer and approached offering my services to give my buddy a ride home. Cop told me i was interferring with a DUI investigation and handcuffed me and searched and detained me without explanation. Continued to holler at me and pushed me down into cruiser smacking my neck into top of vehicle spraining neck and required medical attention. Finally released to EMS to be checked at hospital with no charges or explanations. Diagnosed sprain with medication. Do I have a case?
