girlfriend living with me
My girlfreiend threathens to leave, with have bought a car together,she is not an the mortage, nor do we have an agreement in writing for her to live here, she does help with some bills but not the mortage --if we split how do I protect my home, etc.

If your girlfriend is not on the mortgage, then presumably she's also not on the deed, and, consequently, in the event of a split between the two of you, she would have no legally viable claim to your home.
