Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Virginia

harassment and threats

a former employee daugther went missing, the dad thinks I kidnaped or I know where she is, and even though the police have told him to stop calling me and contacting me, he wouldn't stop, there is also some threats, he has people following me, and when I call the cops they say that they can only tell him not to harass me, but I'm affraid this guy really seems crazy, I have also agreed to a polygraph test in order to prove my inocense, but after a little research on the net, it seems that is not really a good idea, what do I do?, do I refuse the polygraph ? I havent been charged with anything and not even questioned by the police , other than routine questions,

Re: harassment and threats

If this person has violated the Commonwealth's criminal stalking laws

in the course of his harassment of your person, you should have a warrant sworn out for his arrest.

And, furthermore, if he's made threats

to either you or to a member of your family, to inflict serious bodily harm or worse, that's another criminal count that could be charged in the warrant.
