Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Virginia

Legal arrest?

Our family were shop at best buy today and some officer arrested my dad because he was drunk. The police warned my dad not to walk in and out the best buy store. However, my dad did not listen to the police and walk out the best buy store again. Once the police arrested him, my dad resist and keep said " I didn't do anything wrong".

The police told us that, they would call us in the morning and we can pick him up and we have to pay 50$ fee.

In this situation, was my dad wrong? What can we do?

Thanks

If your father was charged with "DIP" (Drunk in Public) and he

believes that he was not, he could hire an attorney to contest it in court.

As to whether your dad "was wrong", there is no way to say

one way or the other based upon these few facts (my opinion).
