I had been living at a friends for the past three months, having hard times so he offeredme a place i slept i on his couch to pay my wayhe used my car anytime. I cooked and cleaned. Two weeks ago he became very abusive started beating me. So i ran to my car left with only what i had ob.August. 7 contacted him to get my belongings. And he know knger has them. He destroyed everything i owned right. After i ran out this was hundreds of dollars worth of ckothes shoes makeup what can i do the man is nuts he also keep harassing my son. And myself by phone

You could go to the clerk's office (ciivil division) of your local general district court

and request to file what's called a Warrant in Detinue for the return of your personal property

that is being wrongfully withheld by this former "friend" and should this property no

longer be returnable for whatever reason, then you could also request that the

court enter a judgment against him for its fair market value.
