Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Virginia

paying off a debt

i have set up arrangements to pay off a debt @ $ 65 twice a month. When talking to the lawyer i let him know that the amount would be a struggle, but i would try to pay. What legal action can they take if i changed the amount. Nothing was signed

They (the creditor)could likely sue you at any time

for the entire amount owed plus costs and any penalties, attorney fees, etc., that might apply.
