Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Virginia
Phone scams
I recently recieved a telephone call from someone selling online advertising i had no intention on buying anything. I was notified that the coverstation was being recorded and just asked to verify information at no time during the coversation was anything mentioned about this being a purchase. A few weeks latter i have a collections person calling wanting to know why i havent paid for advertising that i authorized the purchase for and offering to let me hear a recording of myself authorizing such purchase when that was not what was intented. What options do i have and how should i handle such a situation?

Re: Phone scams
You should send written notice denying all responsibility for the alleged purchase with a demand for credible proof that you have in fact authorized the purchase(something other than a muddled audio-recording that may be interpreted six different ways.)
