Profanity abuse

what if a gas station attendant curses me out and I have no witnesses and his co-worker lies and says i cursed him

Appears to be a "she said vs. he said" type of situation which, if the curses contained no threats to do serious bodily harm--or worse--would be legally inconsequential.
