Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Virginia
Selling a Car
I just sold a car, signed the title and got money in return. Now the buyer is calling, wanting money because something went wrong with the car and they haven't signed the title yet. Am I required to give them money? Or what can I do to avoid giving them money?

Re: Selling a Car
If the vehicle was sold "AS IS" without warranty or guaranty of any kind and without any misrepresentations on your part to the buyer as to its condition, then the answer is, no, you are not legally obligated under either federal or the law of the Commonwealth to return the buyer's money and take back the car(in my opinion).
