Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Virginia

sexual discrimination

I have worked for 5 years at this company. The owner's right hand man & I had an affair. His wife found out & told the owner to fire me because of it. Instead he told me ''to please her'' he would make me move my office (downstairs) and cut my pay until they moved out of town. I have been an excellent employee for five years at this company. Is this legal?

a contract of employment which protects you from such arbitrary and adverse actions by your employer.
