Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Virginia
My son was tazered and brutalized on wal-mart video, by lee co. va. police. with two, (three including myself), while they were unaware they were being observed. He was released, no charges, but sustained back and neck injuries. Everyone here is too scared, or claims c.o.i., to take the case. one atty. tried to question the witnesses but they were actually threatened by w-mart and local police. we are running out of time. statute of limitations, abbreviated is s.o.l. which is another abbreviation that will apply to us soon. any help, other than the lawyer referral page, would be appreciated. thanks, Jeff

Better get a lawyer (before the SOL expires on your son's claims )who refuses to be intimidated by Wal-Mart "enforcers" and local "tazering cops" who may be supporting them in their version(s) of what occurred in the situation described.
(Needles to say, I would number myself among such lawyers.)
Attorneys who are good do not get "intimidated" by the police or Wal-Mart. If your case actually is good, you should have an easy time finding a good lawyer in or near your area.
