Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Virginia

trespassing

I have to go to court this Wed. 1/16. I stood in front of a backhole to protect trees. I was not arrested, but have to appear for trespassing. Do I need a lawyer?

Re: trespassing

Trespassing is a Class 1 misdemeanor and jailable offense in the Commonwealth and, therefore, you should be represented by an attorney

in this matter.

Re: trespassing

Abe Lincoln said it best:

A man who has himself as a lawyer, has a fool for a client.

You never "NEED" a Lawyer, of course if you are facing legal action it is best to have a lawyer.

I guess you could take out your own appendix. Why would you want to. Get the lawyer and rest easy. Besides he may know how to help you save the trees you were worried about. A good lawyer is never a bad investment.

Good luck.
