Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Virginia
warrant in debt
Contracting for company with no contract, they are stating that I owe money to them and they are going to issue a warrant in debt, when in fact they owe me money for the jobs that I already completed. What can I do?
Thanks
Oscar

Re: warrant in debt
You should write a letter in defense of this charge, carefully detailing these alleged jobs which you say you completed and which you now claim have resulted in a situation whereby this claimant actually owes you money rather than the other way around. Keep a copy for your record and be prepared to present it to the court in the event that you are sued.
