Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Virginia

I have a warrant for willfully and intenionally making a false statement on a consent form,when i tryed to buy a firearn at a gun dealer, i was commited to a meantal instution, at the time i did not know i had been commited, i remember having a heart attact, but did not know, i was commited. this warrant is a class 5 felony, i had no idea i was doing anything wrong at the time, how searous is this, what do i need to do. please help Thanks
