Legal Question in Technology Law in Virginia
I created a website for my former employer and it was beneficial to the company for over a year. Upon my termination, I see they have somehow managed to 'get into' my hosting company, and have the passwords changed, and consequently changed their site. I agreed to maintain the site and pay hosting fees while employed. However I would like to be paid for the actual website creation, as well as find out what recourse I have with the hosting company (of which I am still paying the bill...I have more than one site with this company)...my information should have been safe with the hosting company (including my credit card niumber used for automatic billing), but now I cannot access my website I am paying for.

Since you apparently created this website during the course of your employment, your former employer can likely now lay legitimate claim to it as
the company's property(in my opinion).
