Legal Question in Technology Law in Virginia

I created a website, came up with the name and maintained the website for years. Unfortunately, it was a verbal agreement that when the business "got on its feet" I would be paid. I sent her a message stating what the site has cost over the years and would like to be paid since her company is making substantial profits. The company president replied that she refuses to pay any compensation (reimbursement for domain costs, server cost, etc.). She say's I have nothing in writing and refuses to acknowledge our verbal agreement - she said "prove it." I came up with her business name, registered the domain name (in my name), created and maintained the site, etc. (based on our verbal agreement). She now wants hire someone to take over the site and wants my password, etc. forwarded to her new webmaster. What are my rights - do I own the domain name? Do I own the code that I develped? Thanks for your input.

1. Can't say whether you own the domain name based upon these few facts.

2. Yes, you probably can sustain your claim to owning the referenced code.

However, to prevail on any of these claims, you will likely need to hire an attorney to represent you and prosecute your claims in the appropriate

Virginia court.
