Online Event restriction?

Is there any restriction on having an event online?

My corporation is planning to open up sweepstake event on our website, which winners receive different prizes. But I am wondering if there is any restrictions. Please inform me~~ thank you.

I don't know what you mean by "event." If you are considering awarding prizes the law is very complicated and involves numerous federal and state laws; and your company needs to obtain specialized advice in the field. In particular, it is against U.S. federal law to operate a lottery, a game in which a purchase or monetary payment is required in order to have a chance at receiving a prize.
