Legal Question in Constitutional Law in Virginia

Process of ministry registration

Hello, I am wondering what steps I must take to register with the State of Virginia as an ordained minister. I have already been granted Ordination by the Universal life church and I must state for the record that it features an online ordination system which allows any individual of Christian religion to be granted the status of minister. Please let me know how I can make this official in the state I wish to begin my own congregation which is Virginia. Thank You

Re: Process of ministry registration

I am not aware of any special registry required for priests or ministers in the Commonwealth.

If you want to start your own congregation (whatever it be called), then proceed (although, of course, there may be special local zoning law or building permit requirements which must be complied with regarding any buildings or other structures which you may have in mind for your congregation).
