The 72 hour cancellation window applies

to contracts covered by the Virginia Home Sales Solicitation Act. If your contract for home repair resulted from

a salesperson caliing you up at your home or coming to your door to solicit your business, then you probably have the 72 hours to cancel it without penalty. However, if that's not the way

your home repair contract was arrived at, you probably do not have such a grace period unless it's specifically provided for in the particular home repair contract which you signed(not too likely).
