Re: mechanics lien

A mechanic's lien would not be your remedy as the buyer of the home. A mechanic's lien is a remedy for the person who has supplied labor and/or materials for a building project and has not been compensated for his labor and/or services.

Your remedy lies in your contract with the builder and if he is now in breach of that contract, with no cure in sight, then you should be thinking of suing the builder for breach of contract.
