Legal Question in Construction Law in Virginia
small business contract-possible breach
Hi,
I just recently signed a years contract with a company to provide power washing once a week. Today I received a call telling me not to come in on my scheduled day that they had someone doing a promotional power washing. My question is this. Since I have a contract can I legally submit an invoice for work that I have not actually performed? The contract states that any party can cancel without cause with a 30day written notice.

Re: small business contract-possible breach
What work did you not perform that supposedly would allow you to submit such an invoice(bill the company, in other words)?
And, if you're unhappy with the services being provided, then give the company the required 30 days advance notice and be on your way.
