Legal Question in Consumer Law in Virginia
Won't Accept Cash
I recently went to my appartment office and I had run out of checks. I offered them cash and they refused. I know this is common legal practice, but if the contract did not spell out the terms of payment, wouldn't the implied be that cash was ''legal tender''?

Re: Won't Accept Cash
Yes, of course, cash by definition is always legal tender, but, that doesn't keep a variety of commercial folks from accepting it for a variety of reasons (some of which are admittedly less than compelling).
