Legal Question in Consumer Law in Virginia
Auto body work note done.
After 6 months and $3000, a auto body shop and I have reached an impasse. The original manager left before completing the job. The new manager commited to finishing it, but latter said he couldn't. We verbally agreed to a descope and capped the price. Now he refuses to comply with that. I'm going to have to go elsewhere to redo the job. What can I do?

Re: Auto body work note done.
If you can prove the alleged oral contract which you've described, you could sue the new shop manager (owner?) in small claims court for whatever damages you believe that he may be responsible for (up to $5000).
